Pieces of youA Poem by Carissa MarieIt felt good to see you again And to have held those hands I once held. The one that sent shivers down my body, As you trace every curve and lines of my silhouette. Your touch lingers on my skin, Still feeling fresh, a year after you left. It felt nice to have seen your smile, With those two big front teeth That shouts imperfection, but is perfect. I still taste the last kiss that you gave. It should have felt sweet and warm, But instead it was bitter and cold. I felt happy to have heard your voice again. That rough and low tone that only you can make - Singing those songs that you used to sing. I still hear your laugh, An echo from a place from long ago - Way before our laughs turned to silence. It felt magical to have stared into your eyes. Your eyes still has that glint, That look that shows how vulnerable you really are. It felt familiar. I felt complete. Transporting me back to when - My eyes are your eyes, My hands are your hands, My ears are your ears, My mouth is your mouth, And I am yours.
