The beautiful thief

The beautiful thief

A Poem by Carissa Marie

She took you away;
With her long ebony hair
That falls like soft petals
Around her innocent face.
You were mesmerized;
With her sweet smile
That seems inviting enough
To lure you into her world.
The way she kept you at bay,
Made you gravitate your way
Towards her more.
Like the sinful apple
From the Garden of Eden
That tempted both Adam and Eve,
You were in every way tempted
To take a bite and reveal her secrets.
As thrilling as taking a dive,
You took the plunge so instantly.
And with a taste of her soft lips,
She took you away.

Just like that,
She took you away from me.

Thank you for your kind words. :)
A surprise ending to the poetry. The description create a beautiful woman and ending left sadness for another. A powerful tale using so few words. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.
