ForgottenA Poem by Carissa MarieReality of life. :(Silently he watches, With tears in his little eyes. One only needs to look To see the suffering that lies. A man passes by, Without even sparing a glance. How can the world be so unfair? He believed he had a chance. They see him all alone, But no one even dares. Not a single penny spent, He waits for anyone who cares. With his tiny tired limbs, He begins to walk. Approaching an old lady, He began to talk: Can I have some change madame? Please, a little would suffice. To fill my hungry tummy, Some food would be so nice. The old lady as rich can be, Pretended not to hear, But silently walked on instead As the little kid shed some tears. And everyone did as she, Ignoring his existence, So the little boy slept so broken Without receiving a single assistance. In his slumber he went, To a place where everything's fair. Where he is loved as everyone else, A place where there's no despair. But as the boy lived in his solace, Lying down peacefully in his tiny spot, People went on with their busy lives, And the lifeless body of the boy was still forgot.
