Shadows of a broken heart

Shadows of a broken heart

A Poem by Carissa Marie

Into these blank walls I write,
Broken promises that was left hanging;
Tender words left unsaid;
And silent wishes that was once
Too easy to reach.

Into the empty space I imagine,
How the sun would shine so bright;
How clear my world would have been;
And how happiness would live within me,
If only you had stayed.

Into the void of nothingness I whisper,
The love that was meant to be;
The story that was meant to have a happy ending;
And the future that I hoped and wanted,
But now is left aside.

Into the hollowness of my shattered dreams,
There your memories shall reside;
A beautiful spot in which only you shall own;
And there our love would be ever growing,
Our love would be never ending.
There our love shall live and never die;

A love that only exists,
In the deepest shadows
Of my broken heart.

This takes a different path altogether...
from the other one I just read of yours...
the relationship factor of events...
deem evident in the liens of this one...
expressive and all-out spilled on ink...
