Bittersweet

It sucks when love has a deadline. :(

It was a magical moment,

Sealed lips with fingers entwined.

Sharing kisses,

Exchanging laughs,

It was picturesque,

A scene that nothing can outshine.

Two hearts beating as one,

In that special place,

At a special time.

Her head in his chest,

Feeling his heart,

Falling asleep to his breathing

Knowing very well it wouldn't last.

Soon it would only be, 

A bittersweet memory

Of her love from the past. 

He kisses her hair,

And whispers in her ear,

"Its time".

She awakens feeling lonely,

Her consciousness telling her,

He's gone.
