A mother's love

A mother's love

A Poem by Carissa Marie
"

There's nothing greater than A mother's love

"
On the day of my existence
You held my being.
With utmost gentleness,
Being careful not to break
My fragile bones
And my newborn spirit.
You cried,
With tears of joy
Whispering that I was beautiful.
You smiled your special smile
Signifying,
That I was loved.
As years go by
And as I was growing up,
You held my hand
And guided my way.
Each single step that I take
Was special
For you were always by my side.
But along the way,
We grew apart.
I lived my own life
And chose my own path.
I turned away from you
Repelling every kiss
 And every hug.
But you were always there.
Caring for me,
Loving me from afar.
I was so busy growing up,
That I've forgotten about your love.
Time came
You grew old,
You got sick.
A secret you never told.
All I know was you started dying
And in an instant
I was up and crying.
I regret all the time that I wasted.
All the happy memories,
That we should have shared.
I regret not being with you
When you needed me most.
And I regret never having to say,
"I love you".

As I look back
And remember you,
Your sweet voice,
Your angelic face,
And your loving nature,
I realize
That there's nothing greater
Than a Mother's love.

A beautiful poem for your mother. Nothing as sweet as a mother's love. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poem.
