Stargazing, 

I start watching this pool of stars

Wondering what could lie beyond.

Our lost hopes?

Our shattered dreams?

Could they be hiding,

Absurd it seems. 

I stare at the beauty

Of these unreachable things,

As I try to fathom 

The secret that it keeps. 

Our hidden desires?

Our darkest secrets?

Could it be that they're hiding

away from here?

Behind these stars,

Beyond the abyss,

So far from us,

So far from reach.
