Crushed

Crushed

A Poem by Carissa Marie

Through her shield of agony,
A painful deception
Beyond her eyes.
Behind these walls of marble,
One can see
The ruins of her being.
Crawling through the ashes,
Of what was once
Her young spirit.
You'll find her feeble heart
Barely beating.
Barely alive.
