Twilight

Twilight

A Poem by Carissa Marie

"I have to go" he says as the clock struck 6.
I watched him walk away
Like I did for almost a hundred times.
I was frozen
Thinking that I could have stopped him but I dont
I wanted to beg him
To argue for him not to go
But I guess I got used to it
Used to being abandoned
Used to being taken for granted
Used to being all by myself
Always at twilight
I'd be a woman with nothing but herself
