wake before wakeA Poem by NatashaThese deaths are slung up on the wall, like no one cares after 30 days. Watching out the window - saying goodbye listening to that one Hollywood song Play, stop, repeat, over - over each time - that damn song…. We all look the same - in the end. No youthful way to flee, the cornerstones fall and we end up - crying red faces the weeping of harmonious voices Saying nothings, just to swallow by while trying to overlay the masks. Eventually we mosey on until we end up waving and waiting, while dressed in the same black dress and the clacking heels worn twice for the stance - waiting for the end to the not so beautiful afternoon. We all wave and glaze over the sky. The droplets race down the windows only to find that no one wins in the end. We are all the same, in the end - the end.© 2016 Natasha |
