A Boy's Choice

A Boy's Choice

A Poem by caleb

I'd love feedback, negative or positive, I'm not even sure if this is how you properly write a poem.

"

There was once a boy, who had a life and traded it in for a knife,

Not a knife that hurts the shell but rips the flesh straight to hell,

He'll grab his dagger within hand and take a strike to the heart of man,

He's just boy trying to fight, the righteous fight of lowly men,

But he's alone in his quest to conquer over all sin and death,

The manly men have all but left, fleeing from there righteous death,

So he must fight for those who don't, as he stands all alone,

As he swings he longs to go, where eternal rest is always so,

And of that day he tells himself he'll take that knife and kill himself.

This kind of reminds me of a Green Day song.
Explaing how he is all alone, well written.
