When the Faith Well Runs Dry

When the Faith Well Runs Dry

A Poem by calcutta clouds
"

For hope.

"

When the faith well runs dry

Every time when

I think about the forbidden things

Which may happen to you

To break me in two

I push against the part

Of me built by you

Which tells me to stand down

And say,

“just live to fight another day.”

You are my flesh and blood,

From generations past,

And while we speak two languages,

We really speak one.

I could not let myself down

To see you hurt

That would only subvert

The worth I unearth

Knowing it is always there

The water is there

But the digger of the well

Must know it also.

Love. Love. Love.
