My Wayward Way

My Wayward Way

A Poem by Caitlin Lea
"

I am refuse finely painted.

"

It is

A wayward way

I walk,

Wishing

Ever

To be good,

Growing

Always

More convinced

Of my evil.

I am

Refuse

Finely painted,

Leaving

Rancid

Footprints

As I go.

But I

Clean them

Before

Anyone sees.

They all

Think I’m

Pretty.

How silly

They are.
