Pocket People

Pocket People

A Poem by Caitlin Lea
"

What a strange dimension....

"

I am

Suffocating

From hiding

In your pocket,

Only breathing

In secrecy

And darkness.

“What a strange

Dimension,”

You say,

“Where people

Fit fully

In your pocket!”

What a strange world,

I think,

Where people

Are forced

To live

In the limits

Of pockets.

what a nice quirky piece.

I did not expect that last line! It's a good surprise though. :) So refreshing how you quickly touched upon a big issue in a storybook kind of way. It leaves the reader with his/her connotative feelings to reflect on. Good work
