Three Words

Three Words

A Poem by Caitlin Lea
"

...but still whisper true....

"

Embers scorch them--

Only wisps get through.

Sending smoke signals

Is all we can do.

The door is open--

We can’t go in.

Maybe someday

I don’t know when.

These three short words,

I am able to feel,

But forbidden to say--

Just can’t make them real.

Three words

Are hidden

But still whisper true.

Three words--

How I wish

I could say them

To you.

Nice!

Really enjoyed the flow and feel of this piece. It really sounds like lyrics for a song... in fact, if done right, I'm sure you'd have great success if you made this into a song :)
