Writing Because of Her

Writing Because of Her

A Poem by Clifford J. B. Garrett
"

This a haiku anthalogy about the love of someone unattainable and forbidden love.

"

A Million Little
Pieces
... I understand that
title now. Took time.

Took time; but all the
mirrors I pass still send me
pictures of the past,

images I can't
escape from. Images that
tear me up from the

inside out. Visions
that will never let me doubt
our eternal love.

One hundred miles or
two more years away from her;
things could be better.

I left a lot of
strings untied; I left a lot
of storms we'll both have

to weather. I cry
ev'ry time I think about
the last time I kissed

you. In the end, I
just want you to know that I
will always miss you.

Oh! Such a beautiful piece. Written with such emotion. ...Visions that will never let me doubt our eternal love... Such a fierce love. Excellent piece. :-)
