FarewellA Poem by Not Afraid of Bruisessomething I wrote for my best friend and her boyfriend who live with about nine states in between them...
“would you think of me?” I asked, shook and wondered, doubted as I tend to do. Thoughts flooded my head crowded my thinking with panic my mind skipped, tripped and imagined a thousand horrid answers that could tumble, flow or breathe forth My heart was beating slowly, I hardly felt it as my palms went sweaty, clammy and weak and then, he kissed me. so my mind was full of him and the doubts fled, guilty back to their corners, not defeated and still sinister, but willing to wait their turn. © 2008 Not Afraid of BruisesAuthor's Note
