Bones.

Bones.

A Poem by CaeBritt

If you're reading this please let me know if this is decent, and have a good day/night.

- Bones -

I rolled over in my bed 10 minutes past midnight,

they told me that my heart would be broken,

so why do my bones ache?

Your image hasn't left my head for months,

they told me this was supposed to happen,

so why do my bones ache?

I painted your smile on some ripped canvas,

they told me it'd help with the pain,

so why do my bones ache?

I've lived my days with broken bones,

but lack of sleep,

months of your image

and ripped canvas,

won't heal my shattered skeleton.

I can somewhat relate to this. When I lost my pops I didn't just feel it in my heart, I felt it everywhere. When I cried I felt it all the way down to my core and it hurt, it still hurts. I dream about him sometimes. Keep your head up. They never really leave us. Great poem, I loved every part of it, especially the repetition in the one line. Thank you for sharing.
