I Hear a Howling in My Head

I Hear a Howling in My Head

A Poem by Colleen Ann
"

I don't sleep at night. I write and frighten myself.

"

Dark mushroom
Shapes the outside face.
A plump line divider
star-struck rider
Sits in-between
weight on a rock.
Like patience
a complacent area
to settle in.
Amityville
sanity still
lost on me.

Though I am a perfect person.
Simple light lenses
auto-adjust.
No lust.
No logic.

Led by blind men
bound by bright halls.
I trust the walls.
Caress a face (one)
nails may open.

Bleed freely through my fingers
And I might lick them clean
For I am a perfect person
Unseen.

Wonderful descriptions, I especially like the line about auto-adjust. It makes me a bit sad, the truth of what you wrote about complacency and hidden perfection.

I really can not wait to see more, I fell in love with this poem from the start. You have put forth so many good lines and you have such good form. I have not seen many pieces such as this once in my time here.
