Where are you?A Poem by A.LeeI need you Where are you? Your footprints lay in my memory You touched me You loved me Then flew away with the midnight breeze Oh where are you… Where are you?
I feel your arms around my neck I heard you whisper for a drink “Pretty please?” Your little smile The dishes clattered in the sink
Look up again and now you’re gone I’m fighting back the tears again Your memories They’re haunting me Force open wounds, consuming pain
I need you Where are you? Your footprints lay in my memory You touched me You loved me Then flew away with the midnight breeze Oh where are you… Where are you?
Although I know you’ve gone away I feel your presence in the air I hear your voice I feel your warmth But when I look you’re never there
You’re sleeping now, you won’t wake up And left me here, so lost without you Rivers of tears Your vivid dreams And I don’t want to live without you
I need you Where are you? Your footprints lay in my memory You touched me You loved me Then flew away with the midnight breeze Oh where are you… Where are you? © 2011 A.LeeAuthor's Note
