FineA Poem by A.Lee
"How's it going?"
You have to ask You smile, so hopeful that the worst has passed But all I have to tell is the sad one's tale Of a life so dim; of the one doomed to fail You're staring still The waiting game But all I feel is just the same The endless pain, confusion, hurt Just dying to hide my face in the dirt The same bad news I always tell A life that resembles a living hell Sickness looms predicting loss Love's no longer worth the cost There's no more sun To light my day Just darkened clouds and pouring rain No one's arms to hold me tight But I don't want you to see me cry So I take a breath Perfected lie "How's it going?" "Oh, I'm fine" © 2011 A.LeeAuthor's Note
