Letting Go Of You

Letting Go Of You

A Poem by A.Lee
"

Last time, I let go

Premature

I thought that was best

So sure

Couldn’t have been more wrong

Then we were strong

Now it’s just good-bye, so long

And I reminisce

Sit and wish

Remembering everything we had

And it’s just too bad, just too bad

But this time, love, I won’t let go

Hope you know

I’m holding tight this time around

This flaming rope

Can keep on burning through my hands

But still I’ll stand

And I won’t let go

I won’t let go

I won’t make the same mistakes

Won’t walk away

Can’t let you go

I’m here to stay

I’ll hold on till you finally start

To realize I’ve got your heart

This time we won’t be torn apart

I’m right here

And I reminisce

Sit and wish

Remembering everything we had

And it’s just too bad, just too bad

But this time, love, I won’t let go

Hope you know
I’m holding tight this time around

This flaming rope

Can keep on burning through my hands

Still I’ll stand

And I won’t let go

I won’t let go

Because no matter what I do

All I will ever want is you

And I know you don’t believe

But my heart’s worn upon my sleeve

Cant stand to walk away again

Because I know how that path ends

So I won’t let go, I won’t let go

I won’t let go

So I take it you only write poetry....
Anyway, the repitition is a good idea but you should have done it in a more diverse way. The poem is insightful, but it doesn't really feel like something I haven't seen before.

Just my 2 cents. Peace, and good job on what I've read so far

I like the repetition in this. It reads like a song.

A wise person hold on to love. Even when the love is weaker. I believe nothing is easy. Good people hold on tighter because the grass ain't always greener on the other side of the fence. A strong poem. Thank you.
