It's YouA Poem by A.LeeI close my eyes in meditation Drawing strength from empty air Trying to hold myself together Trying to will myself to care
It feels my heart is slowly stopping It feels my strength Is fading too There’s no release for this but pain There’s no release for this but you
I see the way your eyes would twinkle Every time that you would smile I feel the way you steal my breath Each time your face crosses my mind
I feel you make my heart beat faster Yet while you’re near I feel so calm When all I see is endless desert You are a rain drop’s gentle fall
I know it makes no sense, but somehow When my world’s fading, falling, dead I hear your voice and it lends me strength Though so few words are ever said
I’d give the world to always feel The simple peace I feel with you To always have you within reach Because it’s you that pulls me through © 2010 A.LeeAuthor's Note
