Walk Away

Walk Away

A Poem by A.Lee

I will not be broken again

I won’t give in to the madness you bring

Close the door now; walk away
I won’t let you destroy me today

I will not be torn again

Just because you think you’re stronger

I will not be the one forced down

Each time you choose to come around

See, someone told me don’t give up

Someone showed me I have strength

And though I won’t win every fight
I guarantee I’ll win tonight

No, I will not be broken now

I won’t give in to the madness you bring

So close the door now; walk away

I won’t let you destroy me today

Pretty hard to lose that shadow and the pall it cast, upon the burdening of your world. This struggle, so strongly voiced. The strength, this present...

Knowing it helps, to be expressed... released, in constuctive verse.
