Just Enough (I Don't Understand)A Poem by A.LeeLeft alone in empty darkness Crying out to no one’s ears Nobody here and no one care Enough to dry away the tears
So say good-bye to all things living Close my heart; my mind won’t change There’s no room left to think or reason And no words left to be exchanged
But at the end there comes a whisper Just warm enough to melt the ice Just soft enough to reach inside me Strong enough to change my mind
Oh ray of light, you puzzle me What makes you stop to take the time What made you stop to utter words To fix a broken soul like mine
The pieces just don’t fit together I simply cannot understand What could be going through your head To make you stop to lend a head
I don’t know why you told me ‘no’ When even you don’t want me near But somehow, light, your gentle words Were just enough to keep me here © 2010 A.LeeAuthor's Note
