Expel

Expel

A Poem by A.Lee

Expel
The deadly thoughts trapped in my mind
Relieve me from their bitter grasp
The endless power they hold over me

Release
The chilling thoughts of self destruction
Needless pain that I endure
Through every day

I draw in
This agony through deadened lips
It overtakes me and consumes me
It wants these breaths to be my last
And I can't stop it...

If you are there
If you can hear me
Take my hand and set me free
Whisk me off so fast they can't keep up
So finally I can breathe

This is heartbreaking...but I love it. So many of us want to escape the things in life that just pull us down and keep us there, and we ask for a helping hand sometimes finding none. I love it girly as always.

"If you are there
If you can hear me
Take my hand and set me free
Whisk me off so fast they can't keep up
