Sweet AllureA Poem by A.Lee
Hush now, darling's sleeping
Lifeless face turned toward the sky Folded hands rest on her bosom Kiss her cheek now, don't you cry She's finally gained the peace she yearned for Through the sweet allure of death No haunting feelings, good or bad Since she let out her final breath No more will sadness frame her face No more scars will line her wrist She's done with the artificial smiles No longer fighting to coexist She realized joy was not for her The darkness kept it far at bay She knew she'd never be enough And so she took herself away So hush now, darling's sleeping Lifeless face turned toward the sky Folded hands rest on her bosom Say goodbye now, don't you cry © 2010 A.LeeAuthor's Note
