Behind The Hidden Pane Of Glass

Behind The Hidden Pane Of Glass

A Poem by A.Lee

They’ll never know how much it hurts

To hear you cry, to see your pain

When I’m not there to hold your hand

To say it’ll be okay again

I guess they just can’t understand

How much it kills me deep inside

To be excluded from the rest

While your world’s fading fast through time

You’ve been connected to my heart

There is no “taking a step back”

There is no lying to oneself

I do exist; don’t tell me that

They’ll never know how much it hurts

To never hear you speak my name

With everything that we’ve been through

And can’t get close to you again

I have to fight the whole damn world

Just to get them all to see

My love is more than good enough

And just the same, that you need me

But no one trusts the unexplained

The feelings they don’t think exist

There’s no way I know you better

And they refuse to take the risk

Tears expended on bended knee

Go unnoticed by all but me

I’m fighting through the hellish rain

So I’ll be there to soothe your pain

I got to hear you speak today

Behind the hidden pane of glass…

This is powerfully moving love, nothing wrong with that at all! lol
There is strength and determination amidst these words, a facing the future and having to deal with it too, awesome work!

and i doubt there's anything bad about this at all. everything is just so well expressed here. when you mentioned "pane of glass", i was distinctly reminded of a criminal being paid a visit by his family and friends, and all the emotions involved there. not sure you intended it that way though. anyway this is awesome
