A skilfully-written, conceived and arranged piece of work. You bring your artistry once more to a theme that I have noticed recurs in many poems of yours. This is a relationship that I am beginning to become very familiar with now. The writer is perpetually confined, it seems, to this subservient position in what appears to be an otherwise loving relationship - but the balance within this relationship is clearly somewhat one-sided, and the frustration comes out in the form of poetic catharsis. I think at one time this kind of theme was somewhat emotionally overwhelming and affected your style to a certain extent, but now there is a balance between these emotions and the writing itself, so that the result is far more polished and precise. The thing that I would be wary of though is repeating the theme too often in different ways. I mean this in the same way that I see love poems - there's only so many ways you can say the same thing, no matter how well-written a piece of writing may be. Also, it becomes difficult to review such work without repeating what you've already said in a previous attempt...!!
All the same, your skill as a writer of verse is extremely consistent and of a high standard.
There is a beautiful, bittersweet feel here in the longing to be noticed... the desperation to be found and loved.. Wonderfully deep and rich with imagery.
I am lots of things, but here you'd identify most with the writer and avid reader. I have three beautiful children. The oldest boy, Seth, passed last year after fighting a long battle with cancer. .. more..
