A Silent Prayer

A Silent Prayer

A Poem by A.Lee

Someone save me

From my dying world

From the darkness in my heart

From the fire burning through my soul

And the fears tearing me apart

Someone hold me

Drag me off this cliff

Away from the allure of death

Rub my hands so I can feel

Don’t let the numbness steal my breath

Someone heal me

Mend my fragile soul
Tell me I’m worth fighting for

Wrap me in pretty gauze and tape

Build me up from my very core

Someone love me

Come and be my friend

Just tell me all will be okay

Don’t let me fall, don’t let me break

Please, help me last another day

Yes, my poems are getting more "distraught" and losing form... I apologize. My feelings are directly tied into my writing. When feel like I'm fading, so does my work... Hopefully we can squeeze some 'good' ones in here sometime soon.

This is perfectly crafted, and flows seamlessly. Despite the fact that your natural and impulsive emotions may be overtaking you, the writing technique remains unspoilt. And I think, as a theme, again this a very universal piece of writing... and it has an endless kind of cyclic prayer-like quality about it... A rhetorical plea from within the soul..

This is definitely not lacking form, it was really beautiful in its sadness. It also seemed to encapsulate the feeling of depression. Well done.

This poem is a heartbreaking display of vulnerability. I have admiration for this person for having the courage to admit that they cant handle everything on their own. There is a genuine human spirit in this story. Your writings capture the emotions of the reader in a way that makes them feel as if they know you.

Actually, I completely disagree. This is definitely one of your best so far. The rhyming and flow was impeccable and the unique style was just amazing and unexpected.
There was such grace and eloquence along with humility and depression, it was a truly breath-taking, heart-touching write.

That ^ was particularly outstanding.
I'm serious when I say, that this one just proves how much we can grow as writers, and how much our style and form can change, still letting us keep out gift.

Wonderful write.
