My SonA Poem by A.LeeMy Son You didn’t grow inside of me I wasn’t there when you were born But my heart has attached itself to yours And my love for you has been sworn I’ve watched you grow from baby to boy Falling more in love every day Those big and beautiful, golden eyes Easily getting your way You may not have my lips or nose You may not have my smile But I see you watch me all the day Absorbing my quirks all the while I love you no matter what you do No matter where you choose to go You walked right in and captured my heart Just how much you’ll never know People may say that we’re not the same Our kinship has been said and done But you called me ‘Mommy’ of your own accord And you’ll always be my son ~for Seth~ © 2010 A.LeeReviews
