Whatever It TakesA Poem by A.LeeI don’t want to see you cry, my dear I want those tears to fade I’m going to help your head stay high Through good, through bad, through worse You’ve been my rock, the love of my life You've sustained me through thick and thin Now I want to hold your hand in mine So now I can bring you in Because it hurts to see you downhearted And I don’t know what to do Sometimes I can make you smile But sometimes its hard for me too I try to remove your burdensome load Make it light as I possibly can Take steps to make your pathway clear So you can get to the end I’ll take my stand in front of you A chess pawn before her king No one touches a hair on your head Without first going through me I’ll be a burro for your burden A filter for your pain I’ll find the ways to make you smile To make you happy again I don’t want to see you hurt, my dear I want the hurt to fade I’m going to help your head stay high No matter what it takes © 2010 A.LeeAuthor's Note
