DriftingA Poem by Charlène BoutinLost in the endless whirl of my mind Partly locked away from all mankind The world around me is nothing but a blurr The essence of reality seems only absurb
Life is nothing but a buzz against my dreamy ears The light is unseen for my mind as I escape my fears I lose myself in the darkness In the place where I am fearless I close my eyes In a thousand sighs And I forget everyone's cries
I feel lifted from my seat Flying crazily off my feet The outside of me dies while the inside cheers An unexplainable joy eats up my fears And once again I dance under the rain Of my mind's crazy hollows And endless black shadows © 2009 Charlène BoutinAuthor's Note
