Drifting

Drifting

A Poem by Charlène Boutin

Lost in the endless whirl of my mind

Partly locked away from all mankind

The world around me is nothing but a blurr

The essence of reality seems only absurb

Life is nothing but a buzz against my dreamy ears

The light is unseen for my mind as I escape my fears

I lose myself in the darkness

In the place where I am fearless

I close my eyes

In a thousand sighs

And I forget everyone's cries

I feel lifted from my seat

Flying crazily off my feet

The outside of me dies while the inside cheers

An unexplainable joy eats up my fears

And once again

I dance under the rain

Of my mind's crazy hollows

And endless black shadows

"I feel lifted from my seat"- literally, I did. That was in math class as well.

nice write. rhyming and rhythm were great.
i love the abandonment that comes from daydreaming. Being detatched and not thinking but yet things are still going through your mind.

This is great.
I don't think it could have been written any better.

"I feel lifted from my seat

Flying crazily off my feet

The outside of me dies while the inside cheers

An unexplainable joy eats up my fears."

Loooove it!

Great write.
