Our Prairy

Our Prairy

A Poem by Charlène Boutin
"

The prairy is silent and still...

"

Ribbons of satin enlacing me

As the wind blows through the prairy

Capturing the air is the silence

Trapped I am into its essence

Tranquil blades of grass caress

My skin so gentle and bare

I make no effort to supress

The joy of having you there

One touch, and a spark of fire

Enlightens my most secret desire

Your breath against my skin releases

The urgent scream from my mind's creases

Our lips touch, and a melody

Sung by joy and ecstasy

Joins the wind and the endless,

Always present, and sweet stillness

Our refuge the sky

The sun, our lullaby

This world is ours, you will see

It is our endless prairy...

Absolutely gorgeous! What a beautiful, tender, passionate write... Couldn't sleep (like 420 in the morning) and I'm so glad I came to read this one. Amazing!
