A Breath of Words

A Breath of Words

A Poem by Charlène Boutin
"

There is only one way of not being heartbroken...

"

I stand still as a stone

My conscience so alone

The silver moonlight glows mystically

In its nucturnial glory...

The peppermint wind blows endlessly

Through my chocolate hair so sweetly

The cool night air envelops me

In the blanket of eternity...

My lips open so silently

And attracted by the stillness, so suddenly

The words, only whispers in my head

Flow away from my throat, out in the land ahead...

A breath of words upon the moon

The night will be mine so very soon

I am alone, unstoppable

Heartbreak is unseen, unprobable...

Charlène Boutin
I thought of this one because of the truth of things, and also because of the chilly night air that so often inspires me at this time of the night.
