A Mon Amour (To My Love)

A Mon Amour (To My Love)

A Poem by Charlène Boutin

À Mon Amour,

The fields of war and hatred have torn us apart

I freeze without the comfort of your fingers around my heart

Je me meurt, car j'ai faim de ton âme

De ton essence, de ton coeur, de ta flâme

Your rugged skin like a blanket for my soul

Your forest green eyes making me whole

Je m'ennuie d'avoir contre moi

Tes cheveux doux comme de la soie

The shape of your face; so strikingly male

I miss your silken voice so pale

Ta détermination; dure comme tes bras

Musclées comme le reste de toi

I long to feel safe in the shelter

Of your endless love without surrender

Malgré les choses qui nous ont séparé

Je pleure pour être à tes côtés...

You know I absolutely love when you blend English and French! This one is so passionate, full of the longing for your love who is separated from you... Powerful, eloquent, and loving... your devotion and intensity are perfect!

There's more to this world than we see. Artists are gifted with the vision of this world, and can bring forward these visions to others. The world I see goes beyond my eyes, beyond my own life. I hop.. more..
