Sweet Misery

Sweet Misery

A Poem by Charlène Boutin
"

Oh sweet misery, you hurt me and change me...

"

My sweet misery...

You are anchored in my heart

We will never rip appart

Your black blood stains

The inside of my pure veins

Your melancholy stings

My heart that never sings

Your black voids of darkness

Only deepens my sadness

Your dagger in my back

My soul it will crack

Oh sweet misery...

You hurt and change me...

My head throbs endlessly

From your clouds of smoke

And I choke

From the pain

In my brain...

I am lost.

That is totally 'sweet misery' the agony is beautifully expressed and cuts deep. Great flow in your lines, well crafted!

Beautiful.

So much depth and beauty from such pain! The words pound in a perfect rhythm... The shorter phrasing at the end completes the emotion so well...
