Alexander, Dictator

Alexander, Dictator

A Poem by Charlène Boutin
"

I wrote this when I felt like singing my love last year.

"

Chorus 1:Tis such a feeling of war

No time to lose on the floor

Death chasing souls all around

Just gotta smash through that door

Chorus 2:But what will come

Stop us all!

Now that the blood has been shed,

It's too late to go back anymore

It's a scar, red has covered the floor

And my heart has been touched by

Your beautiful sword...

Alexander, dictator, you are here today

Ruling my world, making me feel this way...

Chorus 3: Your sword is shining...

In the cruel day's sun!

Yelling to your enemies...

To hurry and run!

Chorus 2

Chorus 3

My warriors, your warriors

Fight on the lawn

But only your people

Are still standing at dawn...

Yes, at dawn...

Chorus 1

(slow)Chorus 4:You've won the fight... with true battle art...

Alexander, oh yes... you're the

Dictator of My Heart...

(fast)Chorus 1

(fast)Chorus 4

(slow)Chorus 4

Author's Note

Charlène Boutin
Once again too lazy to write the chords. And yes, this is the same Alexander as in my novel Lazaprintus- most of my characters in that story are real people- my friends.

Nice. To be honest, I thought more about Napoleon than Alexander. Subtle rhymes, good flow--is this set to music yet?

Thanks for writing,
J.
