In Your Eyes

In Your Eyes

A Poem by Charlène Boutin
"

In your eyes I see...

"

When I gaze into your eyes...

I see

Lies woven from your misery

Cries shaped from your agony

Sculpted from your hatred- a desire of sweet vengence

Constructed by your tears- a taste of endless violence

A web of conflicts ever growing

A slash of pain far from ending

A terrible tale of despicable woe

The sillouette of a knife that hurt you so...

Madness floats in the scorching embers of your eyes

Undescribeable pain causes all of these lies

An endless story

Of cruel misery

And the truth awaiting deliverance...

Your spontaneity is powerful and fresh like falling snow... Your words paint such a textured character in so few words. Deep and dark, there is a sense of fear and fierceness in each line.

There's more to this world than we see. Artists are gifted with the vision of this world, and can bring forward these visions to others. The world I see goes beyond my eyes, beyond my own life. I hop.. more..
