Death's EmbraceA Poem by Charlène BoutinDeath's Embrace sometimes seems so sweet, so warm, so serene... But there is more to it.D eath's E mbrace A tender kiss of passion T he sweet deliberation of pain H ot relief of misery
The tears blind my physical eyes All that is left in my view Is my soul, lain bare Before me. Before me... There is the despair That has brought me here And threatens to steal my reason
Death; a serene pool of peace it seems An embrace of pure love and calm Insanity blinds even our mental eyes To the fierceness of Death's truth.
Only, oh, if only We would make the effort of contemplating Further than the barriers of our despair We would visualise the beauty that This world holds as well. For Death is the relief of the physical body, But a burder for our lost soul.
