When She Is AroundA Poem by Charlène BoutinOne of the worst pains I have ever felt is the look in his eyes when she was around.Your presence around me Draws a smile on my face. But when there is she My spirit sinks in disgrace. It is true she has beauty That I could never compare to. She is better than me In every possible virtue. When she is around The sparks fly in your eyes. I dare not make a sound I feel your love is all lies. Inside me, I know You both love us so. Though it is me you have chosen, I can't help but feeling beaten By her eyes when she is near you. I know you can't help loving her too. The pain is momentary. Later, this pain I must burry. And in your eyes once again I see That even with her, you still love me. This is my most important pleasure, It shall be one I will treasure, For the rest of my time with you. Yes, I can feel your love is true. © 2008 Charlène BoutinAuthor's Note
