Silence So Strange

Silence So Strange

A Poem by Charlène Boutin
"

Ain't my best, but I really wanted to write something.

"

Silence so strange...

My eyes still meet yours, they shine with excitement, but I can sense that the spark that once lit your soul is gone.

Silence so murderous...

My mouth opens, but the words, too numerous, remain jammed in my throat and chokes me, hurts me, makes the tears flow down my cheeks.

Silence so mischevious...

Our hearts lost the link, there is no communication between our once so active and playful minds.

Silence so painful...

My hand reaches for yours, my soul cries out for mercy, but you remain indifferent to my pain in this silence.

Silence so sinful...

Madness consumes me, and still there is that haunting silence that has stolen your place inside of my heart.

Silence so strange...

Yet another spontanious poem- although I prefer my others, I felt as if I had to write this.

Thank you. Another good poem. This being more emotional than the last I read, it still seems flawless. You have the ability to remember your planned form while you are able to construct the body of the poem and still not loose the message and intent of what you have written. Very enjoyable to read your work, I'll be reading more. And you write with a nice clear and clean mind too.

Breathtaking... Your experimental form takes on a life of its own, filled with the anxiety and pain of love and loss... You are a master at creative expression and so glad you write. You are an inspiration!

A writer is his/her own worst critic- I found this poem to be quite powerful in its essence, for it is all too often that we lose our connections, and silence be the constant companion to the afflicted.
You capture emotions and describe them very well, to a point where the reader can relate, whether or not they've had similar experiences or not.
So kudos on another great piece of writing.
