Misunderstanding!

Misunderstanding!

A Poem by Charlène Boutin
"

I also wrote this during my first heartbreak.

"

As I sit down
All alone outside
The wind blows my hair
I wish I could hide
Everything I believed in
All that I knew
Turned out to be nothing
To do with me and you
I’d seen some love
In your eyes
But I’m just a friend
It’s false otherwise
I want to scream
Run away and cry
But you care for our friendship
And so do I
I’ll stay by your side
And stay quiet for you
Silently hoping
That you’ll one day love me too

Excellent. Simple capture of a heartbreak that we all experience. Love for a friend who doesn't love back. Simple, but beautiful.
