Inside

Inside

A Poem by Charlène Boutin
"

I wrote this during my first heartbreak.

"

Since I am myself
And others don’t know
Nobody can read
The truth that I tow.
Your visualization
Of the world as you see
Will not be the same
As the one that is in me.
For me, what you’ve done
Won’t be forgotten in years
But for you, what you’ve done
Did not bring you any tears.
I only wanted to help
You wanted more
You transformed my efforts
In something that made me sore.
When I try to talk
About all of these things
You threaten to punish me
If I am not forgetting.
Do not go and think
I’ll hold in my pain
I’ll let the tears flow
And hope it’s not in vain.
I’ll do everything
Possible for me
To make you realize
That you really can’t see
What is going on
All the time in my head
And meanwhile, tonight…
Just remember what I said.

I wanted to start at the beginning of you. Such a depth of emotional expression; the pain of that first heartbreak. How it leaves deep scars that always remind one of the sunrise of the soul, left marred and broken in the first night. May you find one so filled with love and passion as you are.

You write vividly, and your pain is so real... Perfect expression and such a beautiful, bittersweet poem...

There's more to this world than we see. Artists are gifted with the vision of this world, and can bring forward these visions to others. The world I see goes beyond my eyes, beyond my own life. I hop.. more..
