Flowerless Rose

Flowerless Rose

A Poem by Charlène Boutin
"

There is a hidden layer.

"
Beyond the glass, beyond the frame of eyes
A world despised
Turn your back
Keep a disguise
The wind a silent whisper through those trees
Meaningless breeze
Everyone unprotected
From the freeze
Headlights appear in the fog, useless
Too deep in distress
There are thorns
Through this caress

There you are.. how I remember the magnificence of your words.. filled with emotive vines and branches... And here a dark garden of roses that scratch and scar and leave you wondering... So powerful, Charlene.

“But he who dares not grasp the thorn should never crave the rose.” ― Anne Brontë

Wow. This is so true, so beautiful, so delicate, so raw. It is pure soul and you are saying what you wish to say, and you have your own way of saying it. I love this poem.

About
There's more to this world than we see. Artists are gifted with the vision of this world, and can bring forward these visions to others. The world I see goes beyond my eyes, beyond my own life. I hop.. more..
