Falling Deeper

Falling Deeper

A Poem by Charlène Boutin

There are lights here and there, beyond
The realm of what they say is true,
These are lights so soft and so pure
Untainted by this spilled ink that
Someday someone tipped over.
Light, beautiful, untouchable
Oh what I would give
To touch them again,
Bathe in that warm light again
And be lost in its eternal goodness.
Misery of the spreading across this canvas!
There is no room for light when
The blinds have pulled shut, and
The inside is already drowning
The canvas is rotting
All frames are shattering and
Here beyond everything it has reached
Again, too deep, where does it begin?
Where does it end?
Oh, but it ends only when
It has nowhere to go and
There is nothing left.

About
There's more to this world than we see. Artists are gifted with the vision of this world, and can bring forward these visions to others. The world I see goes beyond my eyes, beyond my own life. I hop.. more..
