Vicissitudes of life’s journey

Journey of life, replete with brevity in its stride yet a mystery in equal measure for the living. Brevity as brief as the aim of a thunder’s strike in wet July .Journey of life surely a journey so brief; I perceive even the chameleon venerates its changeable changeability.

Journey of life, a game of two halves devoid of certainty and fraught with unfathomable mutability -presenting us moments fresh and the next, sadly, stale-bequeathing  us also a clarion reminder that a thin line only exists between   jot and word, dawn and dusk, hope and desolation and between life and death!

Today the shouts of celebration for birth of man. Tomorrow the wailings of anguish for his demise. This year the sprout of growth, the next, the withered carcass of a pathetic ending. Journey of life, a journey defiant of arithmetic sense- putting the sum of one plus one at anybody’s guess and never at two.

 So then, if the journey of life is thus defined, then why covet another’s blessings? Why orchestrate another’s fall? and thus  complicate an already thorny journey ; adding to the many travails of men. Let us, I beseech in the consciousness of these journeys underpinnings ,help each man, another’s struggle that a journey so daunting shall  perhaps leave a smile or two in its wake, for we all traverse from dawn to an eventual and inevitable dusk.
