Conflicted

When life is confusing and you don't know where to go.... just let your mind do the talking and your hand do the writing :)

I want to run… but to no place in particular

I want to scream… but only at my own follies

I want to dance… but to no single melody

I want to fight… but purely against my own fears & insecurities

I want to dream… but my mind wanders and I cannot dream

I want to believe… but only in the good that I still have left within me

I want to accept… but there is so much unknown that I am drowning

I want to give… but I have nothing left to give

I want to smile… but I can’t seem to remember how to

I want to love… but my heart is frozen with uncertainty

I want to be heard… so I will use my words

I want to think… about anything except the future

I want to hurt… every person that made me hate myself

I want to forgive… myself for all the opportunities I let pass me by

I want to live… but only for myself from now on & forever

I want to make… choices without judgment

I want to die… with no regrets

very nicely penned. i really liked the form and repeating oh i want to in every line, it makes the reader feel how many things are wanted and then how many things are not fullfilled what makes that reader feels the high deal of disappointment and frustration..
i have really enjoyed reading this nice poem..

I like the cycle you have going here, Run Scream Dance Fight Dream Believe Accept Give Smile Love Be Heard Think Hurt Forgive Live Make Die. Such a contrast of ideas but having such relevance in this poem to each other. The style in which this is penned is visionary and makes for a really nice presentation. Great write :)
