A Restful FairytaleA Poem by C.J.G.A sonnet.Above this sunken bed I float away, As I will dream a complex fairytale That rivals all the other tales today, And feast on tangled thoughts that will prevail. I float as high as naked eyes can see Until I reach that brightly beaming star That takes the breath away that strengthens me. I rest my tired arms, they’ve brought me far, Upon the lovely light that burns so long. I look around and see the distance that I’ve come And smile with the knowledge that I’m strong. The endless sky now questions where I’m from, For how it knows my mind is but a mess As I know not where my home is; I rest. © 2010 C.J.G.Reviews
