(A) Part (Of) Me.

(A) Part (Of) Me.

A Poem by C.J.G.
"

I wish he would give it back...

"

You has taken a part of me.

The part that use to radiate sunshine

Through my untouched skin.

The part that use to produce a real smile.

The part of me that I loved.

The part that made me, me.

The part that use to radiate sunshine

Has now turned into a constant cloud

Hanging above my confused head

Raining on my every day.

The part that use to produce a smile

Is now a constant indifferent look.

The emotion is lost in my face,

And I can’t bring myself to find it.

The part of me that I loved

Has transformed into a different person.

She has run away from inside me,

And is incapable of turning back.

You has taken a part of me,

The part of me that made me, me.

This is a fantastic write. I know the feeling well. The last line really got to me. It's perfect with this... like innocent pain. This is great, good job! :D

This is really good....reminds me a lot of my friend...
I especially love the first stanza, particularly the imagery about sunshine :) Excellent write! :)

Well described. Full of emotion and understanding. Sometimes when we give ourselves to someone and they leave we never get that part of us back. Well done.
